The new date for the Kazan Sukuk Conference 2015

The date for the Kazan Sukuk Conference has been shifted to Thursday, April 9, 2015. The location of the conference will remain the same, the 5-star Mirage Hotel in Kazan, Tatarstan, Russia. This change was made according to the desire of participants and speakers of the Conference. The Conference brings together over 100 representatives of the Russian government, regulators, business entities and international sukuk market players to discuss sukuk structures and their application, jurisdictions and platforms for sukuk issuances, investment projects and underlying asset pools, regulation and Sharia issues. The results of Invest in Tatarstan Winter Forum 2014

A two-day forum with the participation of over 470 businessmen, foreign investors, managers of international companies, federal and regional agencies representatives was held at the Kazan Ski Resort in the Republic of Tatarstan. «Invest in Tatarstan» was organized by Tatarstan Investment Development Agency with the participation of Tatarstan Development Corporation and Tatarstan Export Corporation. Discussions of region’s attractiveness for the foreign companies and business development in the first half of the day continued with several round tables, likec health care, real estate market, and halal industry. The forum not only demonstrates investment opportunities of the region, but also gives an opportunity to discuss specific issues directly with the leadership of the republic.

Tatarstan/OIC-Economy-Forum: 100 Investment Projects Presented At Kazan OIC-RF Forum

Aproximatly 100 investment projects worth 300 billion roubles have been introduced at the 4th International Summit in Kazan.
The organizers of the forum were the government of Tatarstan, the Islamic Business & Finance Development Foundation (IBFD) with the support of the Federation Council of Russia.
The summit is attended by thousands of guests from over 30 countries of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation including: Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Egypt, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Morocco, Turkey, the UAE, Oman, Pakistan.

Because of the strict rules of Islamic finance, many countries have avoided the worst of the 2008 economic meltdown. Now officials in the Russian republic of Tatarstan are hoping that Islamic finance can help them attract direct investment from Muslim nations around the world.
Delegates from as far afield as Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates were welcomed last week in a summit on Islamic finance in Kazan, the capital of Tatarstan.

On November 19, 2010 Halal Industrial Park Baltach (HIP "Baltach") was
officialy launched in Tatarstan. This is the first project in Russia, aimed
at developing of small and medium-sized businesses in the Halal industry.
The aim of the project is deep processing of agricultural products grown by
private holdings, farmers, and creation of conditions and opportunities for
