Noor Takaful presents N15m surplus cheques to policyholders

Noor Takaful has announced the distribution of surplus (cashback) payment worth over fifteen million Naira to participants who did not make claims. The company has also announced the launch of its mobile app to make its products and services more accessible to the retail market. This second batch of payment is an increase from 12 million naira distributed in 2019 to policyholders who did not make claim in that pertaining year. Acting Managing Director of the company, Aminu Tukur stated that the distribution of surplus to policyholders has continued to serve as a big pull for the Takaful insurance market with interested participants joining daily.

Northern Governors begin talks with multi-billion dollar Islamic Development Bank in Saudi Arabia

Worried by turbulent developmental challenges facing the Northern part of Nigeria, selected Governors from the northeast, northwest and north central, representing the 19 Governors of the region, will on Sunday begin a three day meeting with top executives of Islamic Development Bank (IDB), at the bank’s headquarters in Saudi Arabia. The parley deliberated on ways of tackling challenges of Agriculture, poverty, education, maternal mortality ?and other problems most prevalent in the north than any part of Nigeria. In subsequent days, the Governors will hold different meetings with the Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector (ICD), International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation, ITFC and the Islamic Corporation for the Insurance of Investment & Export Credit (ICIEC), Islamic Research and Training Institute (IRTI), Islamic Solidarity Fund for Development (ISFD).

Jaiz Bank, Teasy Mobile partner on Mobile Money service

Nigerian Jaiz Bank has entered into a partnership with Teasy Mobile Money, a CBN-licensed Mobile Payment Operator, to provide financial services to Nigerians, through Mobile Phone. This is part of their efforts to implement financial services inclusion of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to everyone in the society. Jaiz bank will collaborate with Teasy Mobile Money in developing programs, projects and other activities that are targeted at providing a robust mobile payment and deposit platform capable of delivering end-to-end mobile banking solutions. The service will allow customers to have access to their money beyond banking hours, anywhere. Additionally, Teasy Mobile Money customers will now be able to use Jaiz Bank offices nationwide as Service Points.
